McLOUD — A McLoud police officer and a wrecker driver were both hurt Thursday night when a suspected drunken driver crashed into them while they were assisting a motorist, authorities said.
No names were released Thursday.
About 8:15 p.m., a McLoud police officer and a tow-truck driver were assisting a motorist on Interstate 40 near Fishmarket Road when a car crashed into the officer's car and the wrecker, Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth said.
The wrecker driver suffered a compound fracture to his leg and was taken to OU Medical Center, Booth said.
