EDMOND — Two teenage boys were critically injured Friday after they fell off the hood of a car while ‘car surfing' through an Edmond neighborhood, police said.
About 7:35 p.m., a sport utility vehicle full of teenagers was traveling about 40 mph in the 2000 block of Running Branch Road, and two 15-year-old boys were standing on the hood of the vehicle, police spokeswoman Jennifer Monroe said.
The two teens fell off the vehicle when it swerved, Monroe said
The two teens were taken to OU Medical Center where both were listed in critical condition, she said.
The driver of the vehicle also is a 15-year-old boy, Monroe said.
She did not know if he had a driver's permit.
At least four other teenagers were in the vehicle when the accident occurred, she said.
The names of the teenagers were not released Friday night.
