A felon with a long history of police contacts is accused of threatening to blow up a hospital where he was visiting a sick relative, court records show.

Christopher Lamar Arterberry, 42, was charged Thursday in Oklahoma County District Court with making a bomb threat.

According to a probable cause affidavit, Arterberry told workers at Integris Southwest Medical Center that he “hated Oklahoma” and he was “going to blow this (expletive) up” after he received some bad news about the relative's condition during a March 8 visit.

An Oklahoma City police investigator wrote in the affidavit that he considered the threat to be credible because of Arterberry's extensive criminal background, which includes multiple cases in which he was either a suspect or was arrested.

Those cases include domestic violence, homicide, pointing a firearm, rape and injuring a child, the investigator reported.
