A man whose children were taken into protective custody is accused of threatening to “use” his AK-47 on Department of Human Service employees, court records show.
Robert Jeffery Pettigrew, 45, of Oklahoma City, was charged Tuesday in Oklahoma County District Court with threatening to perform an act of violence, a misdemeanor.
According to a probable cause affidavit, Pettigrew told a counselor in March that if he didn't get his children back from DHS “he was going to use his AK on everyone … involved with his children being taken into protective custody.”
The counselor told a DHS worker who reported the threat to police, the affidavit states.
