Jeffrey S. Tate pleaded guilty to car theft charges in Oklahoma County last month and was admitted to drug court.
Six days later, he was found covered in blood after an attempted carjacking a motel that left one woman stabbed to death and another critically injured.
Tate, 20, of Oklahoma City, was charged Friday with murder, assault and attempted robbery.
