A judge in Oklahoma County on Tuesday sentenced an Edmond man to seven years in prison and eight years probation for breaking into his former girlfriend's house, choking her and punching her 10-year-old son when he intervened.
John McLain, 33, pleaded guilty earlier this month to multiple charges, including first-degree burglary, domestic abuse by strangulation and child abuse.
The boy, now 11, and his mother testified for the prosecution.
