Of the 54 cadets that started the Oklahoma Highway Patrol's 61st Academy in February, 40 cadets, including five women cadets, graduated to become state troopers Thursday.
With the five women graduates, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol increased its female ranks by a third statewide with the total number of 20 women state troopers.
Eight of the graduates are military veterans, six with overseas combat experience.
The graduates' ages range from 23 to 35.
