MUSKOGEE — Two men have been charged in federal court with participating in a wire fraud conspiracy that allegedly stretched across the United States and over international borders.
Kevin Konstantinov, 50, and Elvin Alisuretove, 36, were accused in an originally sealed July 9 indictment with taking part in a purported plot that lasted from April 2012 until January and caused a loss of $400,000 to victims.
A federal grand jury alleged that Konstantinov and Alisuretove traveled from their homes in Washington state to Oklahoma, Texas and Arkansas.
The indictment alleged the two would rent vehicles, check into hotels and place skimming devices onto gas pumps located in parking lots of Wal-Mart stores.
