DUNCAN, Okla. (AP) — The parents of an Australian baseball player who was shot to death in Oklahoma say their son had recently returned to the United States after a visit home.
Christopher Lane was shot to death last week in Duncan and three teenagers are in police custody.
Lane's mother, Donna Lane, told Australian broadcast media that she said goodbye to her son last week at the airport as he left Australia to return to the U.S.
Australia's Herald Sun newspaper says Lane's former team, Essendon Baseball Club, planned to honor Lane at its game this weekend against the University of Melbourne.
