
WPVI-TV in Philadelphia, Penn. reports that, amid a criminal investigation, two Coatesville school officials resigned after being informed the legal process to fire them was underway.
A statement provided to the TV station confirms that the school board's intention to fire Coatesville Area School Superintendent Richard Como and athletic director Jim Donato stemmed from "racist and sexist language" exchanged by the two men on the school district's phones.
Como and Donato repeatedly used the N-word, among other slurs.
