Union City police officer accused of providing guns to felon

UNION CITY — A police officer here was arrested Tuesday on complaints of possession of stolen property and providing firearms to a felon, the Canadian County Sheriff's Office reported.

Union City officer Scottie D. Brothers, 32, was arrested Tuesday afternoon, a sheriff's spokesman said.

The arrest came after a lengthy investigation by the sheriff's office and Oklahoma City police.

Canadian County Sheriff Randall Edwards is expected to provide more details about the arrest at a Wednesday morning news conference.
