A man once accused of killing his pregnant wife pleaded guilty Wednesday morning to two counts of first-degree manslaughter and walked out of the Oklahoma County courthouse a free man.
Justin Adams, 27, received two 10-year suspended sentences, and will be on supervised probation for the next two years, defense attorney Irven Box said.
“It was really against my advice, but it was his choice,” Box said.
“We said from the start that they had the wrong man.”
Adams declined to comment after sentencing.
Having already spent six months in jail on the murder charges, Adams did not want to face a jury, he said.
