A man who holed himself up in a northwest Oklahoma City apartment last week in a 9-hour standoff with police was only on the loose because he persuaded a judge to give him a weekend at home with his family before serving a 20-year prison sentence.
The judge in that case now says he regrets showing the man mercy.
