A woman’s ex-husband is accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend Monday morning as he sat inside his car, according to an Oklahoma County arrest warrant.
Juan Jose Salazar, 31, is wanted in connection with the shooting death of 22-year-old Eduardo Perez-Pena, whose body was found Monday morning in the 2200 block of S Miller Avenue.
A witness reported seeing a black pickup involved in what appeared to be a race with another vehicle westbound on SW 22 toward Miller Avenue.
The pickup was identified from surveillance video stills as Salazar’s by his ex-wife, according to the warrant.
She also told investigators Salazar had threatened Perez-Pena in the past, telling him, “You don’t know who your messing with,” the warrant states.
Perez-Pena was physically abusive with her, she told investigators, and Salazar would drive down the street where she lived with Perez-Pena.
Salazar’s employer told police he did not come to work Monday, and his landlord said he packed his belongings and moved to Texas on Monday, the warrant states.
Salazar had not been booked into the Oklahoma County jail as of Thursday afternoon.
