The life of Shasta and Adam Belty’s son was turned upside down when he got mired in a sex scandal with a Sand Springs teacher.
But two years later the teacher “got a slap on the wrist,” and the Beltys are left to rally for a change to state statute.
Erin Kathleen Queen, then a 27-year-old English teacher at Charles Page High School, was arrested on March 17, 2012, after the Beltys became concerned about their 17-year-old son’s whereabouts.
