A jury will begin hearing testimony Tuesday in Sooner Tea Party leader Al Gerhart’s blackmail trial.
Eight women and four men were chosen Monday to be jurors in the trial in Oklahoma County District Court.
Gerhart, an Oklahoma City carpenter, was charged last year after he sent an email to a state senator in an effort to get a bill approved.
He faces two felonies because of the email — blackmail and violating the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
Gerhart, 55, admits sending the email.
