ENID — An Enid man was arrested early Wednesday after being accused by police of trying to shoot an officer at close range.
Two Enid police officers attempted to pull over Johnny Ross, 21, for a traffic violation early Wednesday.
As one of the officers approached the car, Ross sped off and led police on a chase for several minutes until he crashed into a ditch.
As the officer approached the car again, Ross got out and pointed a gun at the officers and attempted to fire it, according to a news release.
