In Oklahoma, Cleveland County's sheriff's office warns residents of deputy impersonator, phone scam

— The Cleveland County sheriff’s office is warning residents about a telephone scam.

Sheriff Joe Lester said the office received three complaints Friday afternoon from residents who received phone calls from a man claiming to be a sheriff’s deputy and who asked them for money.
