SHAWNEE — A fired male prison guard was accused Thursday of sexual offenses against nine female inmates at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud.
Jamie Baker was charged in Pottawatomie County District Court with 15 felony counts.
He faces nine counts of second-degree rape, four of sexual battery, one of forcible sodomy and one of first-degree rape by force or fear.
“He used his position of absolute power to force himself on multiple women; an egregious violation of both public trust and human decency,” District Attorney Richard Smothermon said.
Baker, 43, of Earlsboro, was terminated Sept.
