
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The U.S. Supreme Court has rejected an Oklahoma death row inmate's request for a stay of execution.
The request by Michael Hooper was turned down in a two-sentence ruling issued Tuesday by Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor.
The ruling clears the way for Oklahoma to put the 39-year-old Hooper to death at 6 p.m.
