Authorities think a killer used lime to accelerate the decomposition of a body that was left in eastern Oklahoma County in 1980.
But the specific type of lime used actually helped preserve her body, according to a news release from the Oklahoma County Sheriff's Department.
Officials are trying to solve the cold case of the “Lime Lady” and identify the victim.
“It is reasonable to assume that because of the 18-25 age range of the ‘Lime Lady' that she could still have a parent or sibling living,” an investigator in the case said in a news release.
