A prisoner serving 199 years for murder — whose cousin, a key witness, recanted his testimony — has been denied a new trial by a federal judge in Oklahoma.
Alvin Parker, 55, will not be allowed to appeal the decision, court records show.
Parker was convicted in 1990 of killing Gary Lee Ward, an Oklahoma City police detective.
